Church Announcements - MAY 2020

Announcements

Hello Promise Church,  CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 UPDATE

MAY 17TH, WE BEGIN PHASE ONE OPENING

WE ARE LIMITED TO 25 INSIDE, BUT, WILL OFFEROVER-FLOW

IN THE PARKING LOT, SERVICES WILL BE PUMPED OUTSIDE.

DURING THIS TRANSITION we are suggesting the following;

1). If you are sick or have been exposed to someone who is sick please stay home so that others don’t become sick.

2)  We are a warm and loving church but must be wise so please put your hugs and handshakes on hold for a while.  Air high fives are fine for now.

3) Please keep in touch and check up on people that we know who are at risk and may need help or assistance (our elderly and others who have medical conditions that make them susceptible to the COVID-19 virus).

4)  Maintain the faith, do things and read things that build your faith and not fear, in fact here is a song "The Blessing," by Elevation Music and Kari Jobe. It is a prophetic and anointed worship song that will minister peace and hope to you in this season. Here’s the link:  https://bit.ly/2kzs91K

We are so thankful for your financial gifts to Promise church and we need to encourage you that we still have financial obligations that we need to honor.  Last week the pantry fed 84 people!   You can give on-line www.promisecenter.org or send a letter to Dundee Promise Church P.O. Box 70, Dundee OR  97115.

Thank you for being a blessing!

In closing, I want to share with you a few encouraging scriptures from the Word of God:

John 14:27 (NLT) - “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart.  And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."

John 16:33 (NLT) - I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

So, be wise, be safe, and be full of faith as our God is on the throne.

Pastor Rick

Devotional encouragement for this coming week:  Romans 15

“Our God is a refuge. How wonderful it is to regularly go into the secret place of His presence!  We are transformed as we spend time with him through worship, prayer, anointed ministry and seeking Him with others.  Romans 15:13 says, “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing.”  Even though we can be strongly touched in a meeting, we need to be more concerned with this question: What happens to us when the meeting ends or the music stops?  We need to escape into God and not simply escape from ourselves…We need to expect a growing hope for our lives as a fruit of our times with Him.  God’s Spirit will loosen our spiritual soil so that the roots of hopelessness and unworthiness can be pulled out.  Then we are truly escaping into God.”        (Backlund)
